These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Yellow Stone Installations (YSI) website (www.ysin.co.za) and apply to all products, services, specials, quotations, and installations provided by YSI (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website, requesting a quotation, or purchasing any product or service from YSI, you (“the Client”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Company Information

Services: Electrical, Solar, Security Systems, CCTV, Electric Fencing, Gate Automation, Networking, and related installations.
2. Use of Website
2.1 The content on this website is provided for general information and marketing purposes.
2.2 YSI may update, modify, or remove website content at any time without notice.
2.3 You may not use this website for unlawful purposes or in any way that may damage the website or interfere with other users.
3. Quotations
3.1 All quotations issued by YSI are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
3.2 Quotations are valid for 14 (fourteen) days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
3.3 Prices may change due to supplier price increases, stock availability, and exchange rate fluctuations.
3.4 Quotations are based strictly on the scope described. Any work not included will be charged separately.
4. Acceptance of Quotations
4.1 Quotations can be accepted in writing via whatsapp, signed quotation, email confirmation, or an official purchase order.
4.2 YSI reserves the right to refuse work if the site is unsafe, inaccessible, or not ready for installation.
4.3 Work will only commence once the required deposit has been received and confirmed.
5. Deposits and Payment Terms (80% Deposit Policy)
5.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, YSI requires an 80% (eighty percent) deposit upon acceptance of the quotation.
5.2 The remaining 20% balance is payable immediately upon completion, commissioning, or before handover.
5.3 YSI reserves the right to request 100% upfront payment for special-order items or non-stock equipment.
5.4 All payments must be made into YSI’s nominated bank account.
5.5 Late payments may attract interest at 2% per month, calculated monthly.
6. Specials and Promotional Offers
6.1 All specials advertised on the YSI website or marketing platforms are valid only for the period stated, or while stocks last.
6.2 Specials apply only to the items and services clearly stated and cannot be combined with other promotions unless specified.
6.3 YSI reserves the right to amend or cancel specials without prior notice.
6.4 In the event of a pricing error, YSI reserves the right to cancel the order or correct the price prior to processing.
7. Stock Availability and Substitutions
7.1 All products and equipment are subject to availability.
7.2 If an item becomes unavailable, YSI may offer an alternative product of similar specification or issue a refund where applicable.
7.3 Stock is not reserved until payment has been received.
8. Delivery and Collection
8.1 Delivery fees may apply unless stated otherwise.
8.2 Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, supplier delays, or circumstances beyond YSI’s control.
8.3 The Client must inspect goods on delivery/collection and report damages or shortages within 24 hours.
9. Installation and Site Requirements
9.1 The Client must ensure safe and reasonable access to the premises during installation.
9.2 The Client must ensure the work area is clear and suitable for installation.
9.3 Additional costs may apply if extra materials or labour are required due to unforeseen site conditions.
9.4 If the Client is a tenant, the Client is responsible for obtaining landlord or body corporate permission before work begins.
10. Variations and Additional Work
10.1 Any work requested outside the original quotation scope will be treated as a variation.
10.2 Variation work will only proceed once approved in writing.
10.3 Variation work will be billed separately or added to the final invoice.
11. Cancellations
11.1 If the Client cancels after accepting a quotation, the Client will be liable for:
- labour already completed
- materials already purchased or ordered
- supplier cancellation fees
- administrative costs
11.2 Deposits are non-refundable once goods have been ordered or work has commenced.
12. Returns and Refunds
12.1 Returns and refunds are subject to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) where applicable.
12.2 Goods must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition.
12.3 Electrical and electronic items may not be returnable once opened or installed unless faulty.
12.4 Special-order items are non-refundable unless defective.
13. Ownership of Goods
13.1 All equipment and materials supplied remain the property of YSI until paid in full.
13.2 YSI reserves the right to remove installed equipment in cases of non-payment.
14. Warranty
14.1 YSI provides a workmanship warranty of 6 (six) months unless otherwise stated.
14.2 Product warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to manufacturer terms.
14.3 Warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- lightning, surges, load shedding-related issues, or unstable supply
- misuse, negligence, vandalism, theft, or tampering
- third-party repairs or modifications
- water ingress not caused by YSI workmanship
14.4 All warranties and workmanship guarantees provided by YSI are conditional upon full and final payment being received. Should the Client fail to make payment in full by the due date, all warranties, guarantees, support, and maintenance obligations will be suspended until the outstanding balance is settled.
15. Certificates of Compliance
15.1 Where required, YSI will issue a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) for work performed by YSI in accordance with South African regulations.
15.2 A CoC applies only to the portion of the installation worked on by YSI unless otherwise stated.
16. Limitation of Liability
16.1 YSI will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss including loss of income, loss of profits, business interruption, or data loss.
16.2 YSI’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the product or service provided.
17. Force Majeure
17.1 YSI shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to load shedding, extreme weather, strikes, civil unrest, supplier shortages, or courier delays.
18. Privacy and POPIA Compliance
18.1 YSI collects personal information only for the purpose of providing quotations, invoices, service delivery, and communication.
18.2 YSI will take reasonable steps to protect personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
18.3 YSI will not sell or unlawfully share personal information with third parties.
19. Intellectual Property
19.1 All website content, logos, images, designs, text, and branding are the property of YSI unless otherwise stated.
19.2 No content may be copied or reproduced without written permission from YSI.
20. Governing Law
20.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
20.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
21. General
21.1 If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
21.2 YSI may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice.
21.3 Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
